Diagnosed in March 2007, Erick Gordon has since faced many challenges and suffered over a thousand seizures. Unresponsive to medications and ineligible for surgery, Erick elected to participate in a clinical trial called Neuropace. Fortunately, the clinical trial helped to drastically reduced the number and type of his seizures. In 2012, his doctors determined Erick was eligible for surgery and a temporal lobectomy was performed on May 15. He no longer suffers from tonic clonic seizures and experiences an occasional complex partial seizure. Erick continues to work with his medical team to ultimately gain complete control of all seizures.
